A sand volleyball court,paved trails,picnic shelters and three playgrounds at this 33-acre park. Check the park schedule for a hands-on interpretive environmental programs for all ages.

At 310 acres,Bond is one of the largest municipal parks in the area. Along with picnic shelters,sand volleyball courts and ball fields, it offers exercise trails,a lake with seasonal boat rentals, the Sertoma Amphitheatre,a compost education center and even a ropes course. The Lazy Daze Playground features swings,slides,teeter-totters,sand areas,mini-bulldozers and more.

14,000 acres of water and nine recreation areas. Boating,camping,hiking,bald eagle watching,fishing,swimming and picnic areas.

Accesible to children with special needs,the park has something for most abilities,including a big climbing dragon,other climbing equipment,regular swings,toddler swings,monkey bars,a sandy area,picnic tables,restrooms,a basketball area and a multipurpose slab. Picnic shelter available for rental.

One side of KidsTowne is suitable for ages 2-5,the other for ages 5-12. This castle-themed playground features a big wooden fortress. Plane enthusiasts of all ages can enjoy the views from Observation Park, which overlooks RDU's longest runway. The park is located near the Air Traffic Control Tower and Park and Ride 2. Direct communication from the control tower to pilots can be heard from the elevated lookout area. A playground and picnic tables are nearby.

Toddler and big-kid swings,monkey bars,climbing equipment,a rocking see-saw and a sandy area. Other amenities include a lighted skate park,two lighted basketball courts,six tennis courts,picnic areas and restrooms. Access to the 3.5 mile paved Black Creek Greenway is across Maynard Road from the park.

Families can hike trails that follow the creek,explore the bottomland and climb the bluffs.

Located in historic downtown Apex, Anna's Pizzeria is a busy, family-friendly restaurant serving up authentic New York style pizzas and Italian dishes.
